An excellent transition day yesterday at @AstreaErnulf . Our science session focused on embedding our core teaching routines, including an introduction to booklet teaching and slow practicals. Well done @MrMCox13 on the two days, the Y6 scholars have made a fantastic start!

We have also introduced whole class feedback lessons this year, setting aside a lesson (or two if needed) to reteach whole class weak areas and allow time for further independent practice. We anticipate forgetting, and we build in curriculum time to deal with this.
Our curriculum embeds deliberate practice lessons at the point of forgetting. These are whole lessons dedicated to reviewing the key concepts taught and focus on independent practice.

Chemistry paper 2 revision✅.Having the last 2 whole cohort exams has meant a non-stop focus on Chemistry paper 2 since the Maths exam on Wednesday morning. Our teachers have been relentlessly dedicated, continuing after school for those who wanted it. Very proud! @AstreaErnulf
