V important message from @tphollingsworth & @Sport_England about the need to help disabled people & those of us with health conditions to move more in everyday life. It may be sport or not:inclusivity is about being person-centred. @RichmondGroupOC is proud to help in this cause.
#SportEngland CEO @tphollingsworth was speaking at the Innovation Summit 🗣️. He discussed physical inactivity amongst disabled people, and some of the innovative programmes and campaigns like @undefeatable & @EveryBodyMoves that are trying to tackle the barriers to entry that

Over the last couple of weeks I've had a number of really good conversations that highlight how much great work is happening across the leisure sector but also how much more there is to be done. We're ready, willing and excited for what this partnership can achieve.
The community leisure sector has an essential role to play in supporting people with long-term conditions to become and stay physically active. We're excited to be working with @CommLeisureUK and its members to build knowledge around long-term conditions.

This👇Enabling the movement of people with health conditions (who have so many barriers to overcome but so many benefits to reap) is fundamental to living well as an individual & to a healthy society. But the conditions need to change now if we want to realise this goal.
It's been called a 'wonder drug' but we need cross-sector action to realise the health benefits of physical activity for people with long-term conditions. Our new report 'Millions more moving' sets out the steps that we want policy makers and system leaders to take.

Good to see a call to action for more physical activity - always welcome -but I can’t help but think we miss a point by measuring against other nations, rather than focusing on the real issue in this country, which IMO is addressing the inexcusable inequity in activity levels.
As the main political parties release their General Election manifestos, we’ve been joined by more than 220 organisations and stars calling on party leaders to #TakeTheLead and commit to making the UK the most active nation in Europe 🏃🏽♀️🏋️♀️🏊🏿 .@Keir_Starmer @RishiSunak

Great call to action from @swoolnough at #nhsconfedexpo that the next government needs to be courageous about public health. I can’t agree enough, 1 example - addressing physical inactivity isn’t rocket science but needs a real tangible plan & leadership to shift the dial.

Great point about rehabilitation from Karen Poole at #nhsconfedexpo. Would we tolerate having half a surgical procedure or taking half our medication? So why should we tolerate not getting the complete rehabilitation support needed?.

At #nhsconfedexpo day 2. Our @RichmondGroupOC CEO @DuleepAllirajah talking about the lack of access to appropriate rehab support on his mother. Very powerful personal story.
