Congratulations Jose! Not only for the paper (, but also for you successful defence of your thesis yesterday.
I am excited to announce the publication of the main project of my PhD and my first publication as a first author. You can find the abstract of the research here: . If you are interested in vitamin B12 research, DM me for the full article.

Bacterial S-components have crossed the border between transporters and receptors Congratulations to Michele on finding this unexpected "transceptor" link
Very proud to get this work out on @CommsBio, from my postdoc in @MembraneEnzymo1 . A "Behind the paper" summing up the ins and outs of the bacterial "transceptor" is also available here

Back from the GRC Ligand Recognition and Molecular Gating; sadly the chair Kaspar Locher could not be present but stand-ins Crina @CrinaNimigean and Edmund @Mitocarriers saved the conference, together with the GRS chairs Anna and Franziska @amborowska.@fmheydenreich. Thanks!

Mark's tour-de-force work shows that the ABC transporter BacA from Mycobacterium mediates unprecedented bi-directional transport of cobalamin. Great team effort with Solène and @chancie_t (Chancie)

In very good tradition of celebrating beautiful data, the image has been stuck on my door for some time now!
🎅"Cryo-EM structure of Santa’s hat" by Chancievan Thangaratnarajah, @univgroningen . 🦠Belonging to the ECF transporter family, this hat mediates the uptake of essential micronutrients like vitamins and transition metals into the cell!. 🔬Talos Arctica @thermosciEMSpec

Solène is an artist, not only for cake decoration, but also in the lab!.
Also also, cake made by Solène Lefebvre @MembraneEnzymo1 for mine and @chancie_t farewell party 😋 here is SLC9C1 and the "weird and wonderful" ECF transporter! If you missed this story check it out now 👇.

Congratulations to Valeria and the rest of the team! It still feels like a piece of work that we can all be proud of in Groningen, where you spend so many hours optimizing expression, purification and data processing. even though all of you have moved on - sadly (!).
I was often asked what I was working on in @CPaulino_ group. Well, here it is! 🥁🥳 What a fascinating combination of ion channel and secondary active transporter domains in one protein! Great teamwork with @MartinPeter91.@rheinbergerj.
