Being required to present proof of citizenship to someone not required to present proof they're actually law enforcement is one hell of a dichotomy

Everyone needs to stop referring to what these terrorists wear on their faces as “masks”. They are neck gaiters, not respirator masks. Referring to them as masks just helps push the vilification of actual respirators, resulting in more bans. It’s an important distinction.

MN bus drivers with ATU 1005 are shutting it down on Jan 23 – joining the calls for an economic blackout: no work, no school, no shopping. Working people across the Twin Cities are demanding ICE out of MN, justice for Renee Good, and not a dollar more for ICE terror.

The narrative of exceptional Ukrainian resilience is one of the most harmful tropes I’ve seen during this war. Yes, we refuse to give up. Yes, we have picnics in -15°C. Yes, we keep living, drinking coffee, and even laughing occasionally, but all of this stems from a lack of

I would love to have something new to say. Paper after paper showing covid has serious long term health impacts that compound with every infection. Time after time N95 masks have proven to be the best defence against infection. Protect yourself. Protect your community.

When did police start dressing like Fortnite characters? And what is camouflage good for in a city? Dress is a form of speech and we need to pay attention to the message we’re being sent.

In 1934, Minneapolis workers shut down their city in one of the greatest general strikes in US history. As ICE terrorizes immigrant communities today, workers are carrying on this legacy by fighting back to end ICE raids and demand justice for Renee Good.

Back to the meat of this thread. What Aaron Collins doesn't know about #masks can be written on the back of a stamp. https://t.co/NRuK3KgAu0 Key points: 🌂 Cloth masks: 30-60% protection for wearer. 🌂 Surgical: 40-80% & 'leaky'. ☂️ Find a KF94/N95/FFP2 that is comfy & fits.

@neolatyno From a European perspective, it’s becoming a serious question why we should limit business with China over human rights, while under Trump those rights in the U.S. increasingly exist only on paper.

Separating the world into "people who have #LongCOVID" and "people who don't have LongCOVID YET" is a sobering but necessary framing for anyone following the work on recurrent SARS-CoV-2 infections. Clean air, testing and prophylaxis medications. All infections have consequences.

Parked my car at the end of my neighbour Steve’s driveway the other day so he couldn’t get in or out and I told him I wouldn’t move my car until he gave me the trophy he won on the weekend so you’re now looking at the new Tri-County Mixed Doubles Pickleball Champion.

I take some comfort in knowing that in a 3°C world that fascist governments, corrupt politicians, evil billionaires, lying media and dehumanizing corporations will no longer exist. I just wish that were the case in a 1.5°C world. Patience.
