Today, we bid farewell to the Scarborough RT. It had a deep impact on our city. Even the iconic chimes you hear before the doors close across the TTC first rang out on the RT. I am committed to getting the busway done. Scarborough deserves better.

Today, @cafreeland and I had an opportunity to discuss how the municipal and federal governments can work together to ensure Toronto thrives. It was a wonderful and creative first meeting. Thank you for coming to City Hall.

Today, I joined @joshmatlow and @cllrainslie to discuss a budget that protects and expands library services. Libraries are special places. They're one of the few places people can come for free. Where anyone can access programs and services. Libraries make life more affordable.

One of the coolest stories you will see this week: Prescriptive housing from the University Health Network. The Hospital network is building 51 modular housing units that can be prescribed to homeless individuals who are highly dependent on emergency rooms. (Thread) #ONpoli

My budget gives people an affordable place to call home, makes transit better, fixes what’s broken and invests in young people and community safety. That’s how we get our city back on track.

The City, non-profits and private developers can work together to get affordable housing built. This will be Ontario's largest co-op housing development to date and serve as a roadmap to help guide future developments. All right across the street from Kennedy TTC station!

The City of Toronto steps up daily to help feed over 200,000 kids through the school nutrition program. I’m proud of my own work in getting that program off the ground. Unfortunately, there is no such program across Canada. That needs to change.

Honoured to celebrate Andy Lau receiving @TIFF_net ’s Special Tribute Award. Saw his film, “The Movie Emperor” — his depth of emotions is spectacular.

This spring, new traffic signals will be installed along King Street, making it clear to drivers how to move through intersections and end confusion. City Council is exploring automatic enforcement as well. 3/4

Toronto is ready to build. Today, the City of Toronto decided to get back into the housing game. It will be a heavy lift and we’ll need Queen’s Park and Ottawa to step up.
