Congrats to Dr Whasil Lee @WhasilL for her latest #Piezo paper out in @PNASnews!!! She showed IL-1 enhances Piezo1 function, making chondrocytes more sensitive to loading. Great collab with Liedtke lab @MaybeItsBob @AliSavadipour @mcnultylab & others .

Forget about M1 and M2 macrophages from now! Our recent comprehensive description of myeloid cells found in adipose tissue is out. With the use of #scRNAseq, #flowcytometry we found >10 myeloid populations in #fat. Six of them were altered during #obesity
