Nobody seems to know why Rik Mayall is trending today but I think we can all agree that the temporary blue plaque, placed in Hammersmith shortly after his death, is something we should all aspire to.

I took this in an Italian restaurant in Plymouth where we were recording The Last Hurrah. There were dots on the window which reflected on his face and made it look like he had something contagious. I showed it to him afterwards and he burst out laughing. #rikmayall
