We need to make clear that bourgeois politics is never going to be part of a successful “leftist” movement. Due to their association with a bourgeois political party (Dems), as well as their imperialist record, bourgeois politicians like Bernie & AOC are actually our enemies.
I’m personally neutral on Hasan — I think, on balance, he’s a positive force. I understand him hosting Bernie and AOC is meant to nudge the political momentum however he can. But giving Bernie/AOC more oxygen in left movements feels less like strategy and more like self-sabotage.
