I started in BBC local radio. I’m proud of that fact. These stations make a huge difference to peoples lives. This is going to a massive loss. We will lose some of the most talented and hard-working people in the business.
Tomorrow isn’t going to be fun. BBC Local radio is like a family to those who work there and to those who listen. A place you can turn to at times of need and news - locally and nationally - and a place to escape to. Just look at the last few years. Awful.
