Gr8 reporting by @BillForry. As a lifelong observer & at times participant of Boston politics, I had no idea about this threshold. The fact that neither received 3K votes underscores the breadth & depth of @wutrain’s mammoth victory. TMM would be proud (& maybe a little envious).
If Kraft were to remove his name, neither of the other two preliminary candidates - Domingos DaRosa and Robert Cappucci- would replace him. State law requires that you get at least the same number of votes as signatures required to get on the ballot. That’s 3,000. Neither did.
