If everyone agrees to only send the top 8 people to a championship, then there will be only 8 in each event, everyone will get a top 8, and everyone will be happy. Sorted 👍
And they try to sell it as some sort of genius performance incentive. “We’re raising the standard. Only top 8 in the world to the Olympics.” (I.e. The UKs recent move) It’s insanity. And harms growth of the sport.
