It’s a requirement for me. If I don’t see people getting better, or the service does not facilitate it in the context I am describing — then I either challenge it, change it, or I’m gone. I refuse to have a front row seat at human suffering. Especially when it can be prevented!

A dynamic not spoken about enough is the burn out, or sick rate in services working with unhealed trauma and untreated addiction! #VicariousTrauma If I never seen people recover I would never have lasted as long as I have. #VicariousResilience
