So nobody died from cancer before biopsies & cancer treatments. They just went about their lives with an extra natural mass in their body. Who knew? Does make you wonder why all those biopsies & cancer treatments were developed in the first place thoughâŠ

Ironic âŠ@guardianâ© quotes Andrew Kolodny, massive vested interest in opioid litigation & responsible for destroying pain management in US by focusing CDC on prescriptions instead of illicits- pocketed $Ms while illicit opioid poisonings skyrocketed.

Elephant in the room: most ppl in UK donât have so much âspare cashâ they can afford to lose its value (risk with any investment). Cash ISAs also more liquid. Women tend to prioritise certainty of keeping roof over childrenâs heads vs long term gambling.

In defence of previous generations (measles vaccines rolled out in UK late 60s) children sick with measles were isolated. Parents didnât wish potentially maiming/fatal infection on children. They had a more informed view of risks. Any child dying a preventable death is a tragedy.
In the last ten years, there have been two measles-RELATED deaths in the UK. The most recent seems to a case of âdied withâ, not âdied ofâ. (That old chestnut again.) Most of us had measles as kids. Catching it was actively encouraged by our parents, so our defence system

You are joking, right? Standing joke that people could play âthe last Labour governmentâ bingo with Conservative politicians/pundits from 2010 right up until election result was announced last year. I think we can let Labour off that one for now.

A year on from the election, the government needs to demonstrate delivery to claw back some popularity.

Equations for Calculating MMEâs In this critically-important study on the topic of MME (Morphine Milligram Equivalents) we learn that âthere is proof that daily MME is not a standardized clinical metric.â This study asks this critical question: âWHY has this not been detected

This topic, again. When will we stop doing this to people? Served with a hefty dose of misdirection. Suicide risk after abrupt discontinuation of long-term opioid therapy: an observational cohort study. This study showed that there are massive risks if harm when tapering

@aander1987 This has been done, not to further medical understanding but simply so the conclusion sentence can be quoted and cited by anti opioid researchers in the future, thus cementing the idea of opioid ===harm into the general medical consciousness.

Here we go again. Hot on heels of idea that pain patients have OUD even if they take pain relief as prescribed, now apparently ADHD patients have PSUD even if taking stimulants as prescribed. Note same dx even when misuse = taking stimulants *not rxd*. https://t.co/zqUtB1HBaH

Youâve got to be a special kind of tragic to be jealous of disabled people for having things that enable them to try and live the best life they can. Trust me, weâd gladly swap our disabilities etc⊠for a body that functionsâŠ.

In this world of magic money trees, conducting the umpteenth expensive study to prove what we ALREADY know is a MUCH better use of resources than, you know, funding research into stuff we DONâT KNOW YET, like new treatments for dementia, cancer, autoimmune diseases ETC. Right?
If you REALLY THINK that vaccines don't cause autism, wouldn't you of all people be THRILLED for the studies being conducted in order to prove YOU right?!

When NICE dev chronic pain gls I commented that having the team headed by a psychiatrist & a famously anti-pain med dr was like putting a blatant anti-vaxxer in charge of childhood immunisation programme. NICE gls turned out as expected & now the US is about to test my theory đ
