In some ways it gets harder to know how to mark or celebrate birthdays, particularly when it gets to the “milestones” birthdays. Sharing a beautiful image, like this one, is a celebration. It says “this child was here, they were loved, they were precious and always will be”.
I don't think, even after all this time, I know how to mark Sam's birthday. The day just feels wrong, a reminder of his absence, exhausting, hollow. Really I want to celebrate how beautiful, sparkly & joyful he was but there is no energy. #sepsis means he's not 16 today.#Forever3

Hard to believe that it’s 10 years since the Francis report published. The report which, in so many ways, has been a game changer and a beacon for so many involved in Patient Safety. Thank you for sharing @SusannaStanford.
Editorial where @Graham_P_Martin, @MaryDixonWoods and I consider the 10th anniversary of the Francis report: his recommendations, subsequent organisational catastrophes and the recurring theme of failing to listen to patients and carers. We suggest 3 priorities going forwards:.
