Some pretty wild things in youth baseball… 14u teams carrying 23 on the roster…then 50% of the players getting 6-10 ABs the entire season. $4k per season = $666+ per AB. The kids need REPS. But hey, GameChanger W/L record looks nice so everything is fine right?

Travel Baseball Programs POST how many college commitments they get each year as that is a BIG SELL for parents & players. One thing to look at is how many of those college players actually make the team or make it past year one. Good thing to look at & research! đź‘€

Had to take my 15 year old to the DR for an xray of his hand after getting hit by a ball. Side note, when we are leaving DR says make sure he takes 3-4 months off of throwing to rest his arm in the off season. This DR is affiliated with a MLB Team. Not asking for a debate just

All of these rule changes are sending a signal that development - athletic & skill - should be the priority if anyone actually gives a shit about getting kids to play past HS. D1 = Majors D2 D3 JUCO = Minors You don’t have to be perfect at 18. But you do have to be on the path.
