‼️👂🏽Please support this @globalohns / Ear, Nose, and Throat Surgery analysis of workforce, infrastructure, training, and barriers to care. The resulting data will support strengthening ENT care (eg head and neck cancer, hearing loss) for those with limited/no access. #GlobalOHNS
Testing out an innovative medical research crowdsourcing platform #collavidence (thanks @naterex2!) Consider supporting @globalohns in their work to understand the unmet needs in global ear, nose, and throat surgery

Everybody in the world has a right to basic healthcare, says Kee B. Park, M.D. Prevention of injuries is important, but it should not stop there. It's time to invest in the health of the developing world, and that includes, first and foremost, a trauma system. @SIGNtweeter

This is a monumental moment in the fight against #COVID19. The commitment by @POTUS Joe Biden & @USTradeRep @AmbassadorTai to support the waiver of IP protections on vaccines is a powerful example of 🇺🇸 leadership to address global health challenges.

Including refugees in national COVID-19 vaccination plans is one thing... Making sure there are vaccines to give is another... We call for fair and equal access to COVID-19 vaccines for everyone in every country. #HealthEquity #HealthForAll #OnlyTogether

Great discussion today! Thank you @SaferSurgery! Some ideas (1/2): journals have reviewers that speak different languages, why not review some articles in other languages and sponsor the translation of it is good? #globalhealth #some4pedsurg

The study has two main results: 1. We still need to descentralize Brazilian SAO workforce. Career programs could help. 2. @isabellaxfaria 🇧🇷👩⚕️ first author, helping decolonizing #globalhealth Estudo que demonstra que temos que descentralizar nosso força de trabalho cirúrgica.
@isabellaxfaria presented on the Surgical, Anesthesia, and OBGYN workforce in Brazil with analysis of state HDI index. #ASC2021

I am a "global health" statistician; I love data, appreciate the value of estimates. I have struggled with the lack of data for key questions in many areas of the world. This article is an incredibly important read for all. 1/
Thanks to the Microsoft founder’s support, the IHME can make its own rules about how to track global health. That’s a problem.
