Oh my god the cats around here will be gutted. Some of them have about 12 owners. Can’t wait for the multi-defendant trials where everyone is running ‘that’s actually *my* cat and if you bring Mr Whiskers into the courtroom then you’ll see for yourself who he loves most’

The Pet Abduction Bill contains a provision which should be (but isn't) described as "cat grooming." It will be committed by "inducing" a cat to leave the lawful control of its owner.

I did a school visit last week to a secondary school in London. When I asked if anyone knew of any British Chinese children’s authors one pupil (out of 190 kids) put his hand up and said ‘Wangy Wang Wang’ and I calmly said that wasn’t a children’s author. Then he repeated it.
