Criticism of Op Resolve and its revolving doors of retired police officers was impossible/ forbidden from the outset. It is surely time for a reexamination of how these reviews and processes are “sold” to those already failed multiple times

Only one of the four Scottish stem cell transplant centres has a dedicated BMT psychologist. I’m supporting @AnthonyNolan’s call for every cell therapy patient and their families to receive specialist psychological support as part of their care https://t.co/iuA2yGMvl4
It was fantastic to see so many MSPs backing our call for every stem cell transplant and CAR-T patient and their loved ones to have access to specialist psychological support. This care isn’t optional; it’s essential.

“65% of respondents had not heard of Duty of Candour a legal requirement for health services to be open & honest when things go wrong & cause harm” The #QEUH families know about DofC but did not experienced it. What are consequences for NHS GGC? https://t.co/D5hiRzGH5s

AIRBORNE transmission matters…. The WHO fixed the ventilation in their building/headquarters as soon as they knew it had gotten away in early 2020…. ……they knew then their strategy of distancing and handwashing wasn’t going to work. @DrTedros
They think "if airborne transmission mattered, surely the buildings would be designed for it" or "surely someone would have fixed that by now". But they haven’t. No one has.

In 2013, a teenage girl in a care unit near Glasgow was identified as being at risk. Her care files show Police Scotland say her name came up during an investigation into “sexual exploitation by a group of [redacted].” These files also show her name was on “a list” along with 45

It’s been a long and complex journey but finally I can release my Decision on the evidence supplied to the “James Hamilton Inquiry” @scotgov now has until 12 Jan to release the information. A huge team effort from us all at @FOIScotland

I've selected an Urgent Question for this afternoon. @mspliz will ask @scotgov when it first became aware that @NHSTayside had destroyed medical record logbooks relevant to the Eljamel Public Inquiry, despite “do not destroy” notices having been issued several months earlier.

Poster recently published by NHS Scotland. Incorrect, dangerous guidance to the public about spread of diseases like flu, COVID-19 etc and how hand-washing is key to keeping themselves safe (would you believe!) Formal complaint lodged. See: https://t.co/GgFwKQBuNi

It sometimes feels like we’re in the middle of a total collapse of ethics and accountability in public life. Question: will anybody suffer any adverse consequences from this, other than Eljamel’s victims?
NEW: NHS Tayside has destroyed 40 hard copy theatre logbooks containing info on surgeries carried out by disgraced surgeon Sam Eljamel between 1995 & 2013. They were wrecked in July this year despite a ‘Do Not Destroy’ order being in place. @SkyNews

@LouiseSlorance NHS staff, care home staff, public sector and private sector - all stepped up and faced these risks. They were let down by weak leadership, poor government and profiteering self-interest

Yet again, Nicola does what Nicola does best. She did it with @AlexSalmond and she's doing it with Andrew Slorance. "It wisnae me" The dead cannot defend themselves, as she knows. WE SEE WHAT YOU ARE DOING NICOLA. WE KNOW WHAT YOU DID! 🤬@LouiseSlorance
Widow accuses Sturgeon of bid to 'implicate' her late husband [Andrew Slorance] in Covid blunders. Jim McColl once said of Sturgeon: “She will do anything, say anything and ditch anyone”. He wasn’t wrong and that includes those who’ve passed away … https://t.co/pf4ONITpD7

Superb by @doctor_oxford “By early March, people were dying in such numbers in Lombardy that military trucks were deployed to take the mounds of coffins from overwhelmed local crematoria.”
I’ll never forget the horror of the Covid wards As @doctor_oxford says “people died who could have been saved” …and in their tens of thousands - more than a war, more than we can comprehend - each one leaving behind grief and loss

“But if NHS nurses can have the courage to walk towards Covid patients in paper masks and bin bags, a government should surely be capable of making those decisions.”

@LouiseSlorance @slorance Compassion and care are so sadly lacking in so many areas. Full candour should be the minimum!
