When you speak the truth you risk being labeled negative and those that don’t want to hear it will complain about you! Stay true to yourself and keep spreading the truth because you are helping athletes and not just yourself.

If your pitching mechanics look like you’re having a seizure because you’re trying to throw a hundred. STOP 🛑 IT ! You can’t pitch like that in a REAL GAME!

Baseball players: you have a choice in today’s game: #1. Be a showcase player. #2. Be a baseball player. A baseball player PLAYS the game. They simply LOVE PLAYING BASEBALL. Anyone that tells you to refrain from PLAYING baseball games has a motive. Be a #2 and not a #1.

I dont care how many spreadsheets you have, data you collect, or smart you think you are about pitching... If you never pitched in high pressure situations, in high level games...you cant comprehend transfer of ur methods. You’re guessing, the same way you think others are...

Sports Parents: WE ARE BEING SOLD FEAR! The fear of our kid missing out, the fear of our kid being left behind, the fear of one team not being enough, and for what, the pursuit of an athletic scholarship?? Do you really believe that should be the “end-goal” of youth athletics?

Tis the season where you can no longer hide behind your Rapsodo, radar gun, weighted ball, rope bat, hit tracks, pvc pipe, run & gun, and K vest. Now it’s real life baseball on a field not a tv screen. Now you have to pick it, pitch it, and hit it where they ain’t!

Let kids be the best player they can be for the grade that they are in. Your not bigger than the game or bigger than your team!!

Parents in pursuit of the coveted 'scholarship'. Be wary of spending 3-5X the amount chasing the scholarship at the same time as depriving your kids of a range of life experiences. That's called a net zero.

This is great for parents. But for me, it is also what I think about my players and for those who think otherwise about me that’s ok. I know my worth!

Remember-HS coaches spend countless hours with players, get paid a small supplement, equivalent to about $2.00 an hr. Most impact players tremendously on and off the field. Parents...appreciate your kids HS coaches and appreciate the time they are spending with your kid. #respect

In life you better Learn: • To be a team player • Work hard • Set goals • Problem solve • Be able to adapt • Be willing to try new things • Take direction • ... but also Lead • Have - give respect Greatest teacher (for me) = Baseball 👊

Ive said it before and Ill say it again... Literally ANYONE can keep score of things. Anyone can read directions, plug in a device, and spitball findings... this is where we are in baseball culture.... lots of score keepers with little wisdom to relate to it... #Collaboration

“I DON’T KNOW” “I WAS WRONG” “I’M SORRY” Three of the most valuable phrases that we can use in our vocabulary. They show intelligence, not stupidity; strength, not weakness; confidence, not insecurity. They humanize and open us up to connecting with others who aren’t perfect.

@nextlevelbb Had this conversation with a pro guy today. They want to hear from people that’s been there. By the time they get there (Milb) their skill set is very good and doesn’t need much from there. What they need is advise from guys who have been through the trenches.
