If a coach’s philosophy is to pound the zone, throw strikes, get ahead in the count, etc... and that scares you, makes you afraid to miss, or puts more stress or pressure on you...pitching may not be for you. THAT pressure diminishes when you train correctly to pitch.

I spent 4 years at a Division I university. I was the slowest thrower on pitching staff for 4 years. I was surrounded by upper 80 to low to mid 90mph teammates & opposition.
I broke nearly every school record, & still hold them today.

I sat the bench an entire summer when I was 12. Didnt get 1 inning or AB...13 on the roster. 3 players aside from myself went onto play pro. The majority of team went on to play D1. I cant even describe the mental anguish I went through that entire summer. Didnt quit. Got better.
