I have a relation about as intelligent as myself whose wife is a moron. I cannot imagine being happy in that situation. But he seems to love his marriage. And I love my marriage to someone who can more or less keep up with me. Different men value different things.
Some people don't value erudition in a partner. I don't see any problem in that. My own wife is a software engineer. I also don't see any problem in that.

I believe all those things. And I'm a Protestant. I want to believe Romanists love Christ. Christ who is the Truth. But you're lying about me in public. That's your game. So that becomes more challenging.

I don't actually see why this matters. Morality is axiomatic for me, and so I understand that the birth of a new person is bigger than me and what I want. I suppose it's a different situation for those whose morals are malleable.
@StarfighterInt1 @TheGatoGazette Was this an unwanted pregnancy?

Every stereotype of the 'evils of capitalism' described by their professors is actually perpetrated on the youth by the university system in general and those professors specifically. If the kids could add 2 and 2, we'd have an ironclad wall AGAINST socialism, but...
Young people who prefer socialism to capitalism have no doubt been influenced by ideologically-slanted institutions of higher education, but they also conflate capitalism with some of the perversions of free enterprise they have seen in their lifetimes: Wall St. bailouts,

They castrated them because they were black.
Muslim societies generally gave enslaved Africans more paths to dignity and humanity than white, Christian Atlantic societies did. Islamic slavery wasn’t racial in its legal or theological foundation. The system didn’t equate Blackness with servitude; a key difference from the

You're right. There is no God. Rights are make-believe. I will now eat twice as many cows.
@LogoSimian Which God? And what makes you so sure of that?

Now, to build anything, you got to get enough of the chaos to do something dumb like art, and enough of the discipline to sustain it and build a customer base. Stereotypically, most artists start from the art side, and find the self-control later; Correia started from the

I like to joke that the reason artists tend to be flakes is because if you had the self-control to put in the work, you'd have been an accountant instead. And that's Larry Correia. He had the talent. But he had the self-control, so he did, in fact, become an accountant instead.
14/ @monsterhunter45 is a perfect example Dude - wrote what he wanted to write, outside of any real genre - published it, IIRC, on his blog - popularized it on gun chat boards - worked his contacts to get intro to a less-than-super-prestigious publisher https://t.co/wM2o9nSzr0

Rights are endowed by God. God didn't give cows the right not to be food. He gave 'em four legs and a head start and that's it.
One eats meat other eats plants. You can look good on either diet. The question is what diet is more aligned with your values? A diet consisting of the dead bodies of innocent animals killed against their will or a diet that minimizes harm to animals and respects their rights?

Congress is not going to pass a law saying that Congress gets a spanking if Congress is naughty. Do an end run. Convention of States.
🚨HOLY COW: @ElonMusk has announced his support for Warren Buffett’s plan to eliminate the deficit in 5 minutes: “Just pass a law that says, ‘Anytime there's a deficit of more than 3% of GDP, all sitting members of Congress are ineligible for reelection.’” Do you support this?

That a whole company, and not just a rambling insane person, could describe these statements as "inflammatory" is truly proof that God has judged us and wills to destroy us.
Google paid ~$3 billion to hire AI genius Noam Shazeer. He’s helped Gemini meaningfully since then but also kept posting inflammatory statements that angered colleagues and prompted Google to censor him.

Players deserve to have a set of rules to refer to so that they may reliably plan ahead. They should feel confident that if their plan is rules legal, the DM will honor those rules. This isn't anti-homebrew; homebrew should be written and available to players for this purpose.

ChatGPT became useful yesterday. College flipped from mostly guaranteeing a job to mostly being a scam about 20 years ago.
A Harvard student told me something I can't stop thinking about. When they go to the library, every single screen has ChatGPT open. Homework that used to take hours now takes minutes. But then they talk to alums who say entry-level roles are basically gone. The jobs they
