Have received some inedible food tonight from @UberEats, who are apparently “unable to provide a refund under these circumstances, in line with Uber's policy.” It’s a normally excellent restaurant, but how is refusing to refund an inedible dish acceptable?

Bought a copy of @rkhooks’ Little Paris Kitchen at a charity shop and it’s covered in chatty post-it notes. Are these reminders for the original owner, or messages for me, the future owner?? Either way, the advice is sound - be brave, and always want larger portions.

Turns out Heaton Chapel is an excellent place to spend a Sunday afternoon. Very good margaritas and tacos at La Capilla, and then a very decent Cabernet Franc with the lovely Davide at Vino Buono 🌮🍷

Got the bank holiday weekend off to a fine start yesterday by having @pieminister pie, mash and peas at @DandPDidsbury at a very sunny table. The Moo and Blue was a very fine pie indeed, and I would suggest the Kevin might just be the garlickiest pie I’ve ever encountered. 🥧🥧☀️
