Yesterday we (entire opposition benches) walked out of #Leicester City Council Meeting after our petitions with nearly 6000 signatures to save #Libraries and #CommunityCentres were blocked by the #Labour run administration and were not allowed to debate them in the chamber.

It was a political stunt by Labour councillors pretending to be on people’s side by bringing in the call-in only to withdraw it bit later doing exactly as their masters told them to. What a farce. But people are not stupid, they can see through this ploy and will hold them to
Cllr Bonham assured this policy won’t “push anyone into poverty”. Cllr Moore says tracking the policy’s progress / impact is essential. The Cttee members agree to withdraw the call-in. So I believe the new SEND post-16 transport policy will apply Meeting ends
