I have had the great honour and privilege of writing the opening chapter of the last six books in this truly brilliant series. I am very grateful to Michael Gallagher for the original invitation to do so in 2002, and for every one since.
Thirty-two Irish elections in the century from 1922 to 2024 inclusive. The last ten of which have been analysed in a book in the How Ireland Voted series. Micheál Martin has made four cover appearances, Enda Kenny and Mary Lou McDonald two each, eight others one each.
