Re-upping this -- it's coming up on one year since @mindmannered and I proposed the #ResearchWorthUsing framework for research quality. We refer to it frequently in our work as research brokers and hope others find it useful too!

Parents, see @NCILiteracy’s infographic for questions to ask about your child's reading instruction, which should be explicit, systematic, and evidence-based. https://t.co/e4ivfGat92 #literacy

This article reminded me of the importance of subtraction. In order to make room for the new (fill in the blank - material, activity, workstream), what do you take out? Looking forward to the podcast!

Like for many others @stockpile customer 'service' is the pits - I've gotten email responses that are unhelpful at best & have sent me in circles trying to resolve my issue. Is anyone there????

@stockpile - I don’t know how to get assistance from your company. No one ever responds to my queries and no one will provide a phone number so I can actually talk to a human. Terrible company with horrific customer service. #AMC #APE #stocks

One way to provide intensive intervention for students with severe and persistent reading difficulties is to use a systematic data-based decision-making process called data-based individualisation...

"Bridging that gap is the work" Important thread on direct aka explicit instruction 🧵

Educators have been told, "Direction Instruction is remedial and oppressive." This reputational stink repulses many well-meaning people. Contrast that to the chicken-soup level familiarity of Balanced Literacy which affirms their learning bias. Bridging that gap is the work.
