To have the best public school system, we have got to radically change our attitude toward how we invest in education. No public school teacher should make less than $60,000 a year. I am proud to introduce the Pay Teachers Act to begin to address the crises schools face today.

Intentionality in this work is essential. As @EdFuller_PSU @MDYoungLEAD argue in this @LPSJournal article https://t.co/dkZ1oH35OJ the pipeline won't produce the leaders we need without intentional interventions (e.g., recruitment, selection, certification policy) @JasonAGrissom

Education is about so much more than academics. It is about helping students find their strengths & passions so that they can experience success. This builds their confidence to try new things, harder things and to know failing is not fatal, because they have experienced success.
