Happy birthday to my Dad…His path to today has been interesting. He had two job offers after completing school in Ireland. Glad he chose the US. He’s been to countless countries and walked six of the seven continents. He was also the best man at my wedding. Here’s to many more!

This is heartbreaking. As a coach, my team won his track invitational. Shortly after receiving the team trophy, he presented me with the Coach of the Year award & told me he was so proud of me. Making me feel like I could walk on air. That’s what he did for everyone. RIP Alvis.
The KY Coaching Fraternity lost a great man today. Coach Alvis Johnson coached Football, Track, and was the AD at Harrodsburg High for 23 years. He was a great man that touched countless lives. Prayers for the family.

This is huge! I remember agreeing to not be employed during student teaching so I could focus on teaching. That was incredibly hard to do life during that semester. No income at all!

UPDATE: All four public high schools in Lexington at the center of a bomb threat on Tuesday have been searched and cleared. Nothing was found, according to the school district. All four schools to resume regular schedule on Wednesday.
