Fed Governors have a duty to fight fraud, not commit it. Thank you President Trump for exercising your authority under Article II of the Constitution to take care that the laws are faithfully executed and your authority under Section 10 of the Federal Reserve Act to hold the Fed.

Claiming two “primary residences” to obtain lower interest rates and down payments on your mortgages isn’t just wrong—it’s fraud.

Section 10 of the Federal Reserve Act confers to the President the power to remove Fed Governors for cause—which SCOTUS has defined as inefficiency, neglect of duty, or malfeasance (i.e., wrongdoing).

Fed Governor Lisa Cook is alleged to have applied for two mortgages for two properties over the course of two weeks claiming that both were her primary residence. That fact pattern falls squarely within the definition of “owner occupancy fraud” under 18 U.S.C. 1014.

We have a confession to make…our business model isn’t hype. It’s focus. Ps. We are not acquiring Chrome.

By removing for cause a Fed Governor who either intentionally committed mortgage fraud or demonstrated gross negligence in applying for a mortgage, President Trump is doing a service to the country. Fed independence doesn’t mean that the Fed is wholly immune from accountability.
