@WriterHannahBT One of the reasons I voted Labour was their promise about swift bricks.

These are the people who blocked the swift brick amendment last night. 102 Labour Peers thanks to the rather extreme 3 line whip which just goes to show how much #Labour do NOT want to help nature let alone swifts. Normally a 3 line whip is used for fairly extreme amendments.

Atmospheric CO2 usually peaks around May each year. Yet the most recent weekly average at Mauna Loa has already set a record: The highest itโ€™s been for the last 800,000 years, at 430ppm.

Almost 90% of flights from Luton are taken for leisure - in other words British tourists taking their money out of the country to spend abroad. Expanding Luton is not good for UK growth & certainly not good for nature & the environment. Why doesnโ€™t Labour understand that?

This government has just approved the expansion of Luton airport. But, as new NEF analysis shows, airport expansion isn't a magic bullet for economic growth. In fact it's bad news for our domestic tourism industry as more holidaymakers will leave from Luton than arrive.

This new study found a flaw in most econometric analyses of future damages from climate change. They used a different modelling approach that incorporates global economic interconnectedness, and found when you do this, projected damages are much greater than originally estimated.
