I get lots of people asking me how a chemistry curriculum can be 'decolonised', so I thought I'd make a short thread with examples. Firstly, decolonisation is not about removing science from the curriculum, it is about giving students more context (see: https://t.co/X8C9A8JwkK)

Yes, we have data that could inform our decisions, but no one really knows what to do with it and we prefer to trust our intuition.

For #IWD2022 I am 'celebrating' by responding to a request for more information on a grant (due in 48hrs) while caring for a baby who is less than a week old. Welcome to the sisterhood, little one, we're working on gender equity but we've still got a way to go!

Timely reading. Such a beautiful narrative of ancient wisdom which we should have listened to all along. Thanks for the recommendation ⁦@ThisKatieMoore#Wiradjuri #BigWater=Marrambidya

Usyd plus Black Duck Foods teaching the group harvesting and threshing ⁦@pbinarrabri⁩. The challenge was out to get enough grain to make your own Johnny cake… I think the winners were the smart ladies who quickly gathered heads caught up against the sorghum 🤣 lots of fun!
