The Saudi backed government internationally recognized have been in exile in Rydiah. Houthis (Iranian backed) have control over most of the North where majority of the Yemeni population live.

After the Syrian Revolution failed and intense crackdown began, the country dwelled into civil war between Opposition, Assad, and ISIS. Currently Assad with foregin help has control over majority of Syria after the loss of ISIS control.
