A16Z has ranked DeepAI the 26th-most used consumer AI tool. But interestingly - we're #5 in the General Assistant Category, and the only one not from a billion-dollar company. https://t.co/dhcvcWNpRW

What it needs is some AI Slop
vladimir lenin had this painting framed above his bed, hitIer bought one of the originals, freud had a print hanging in his study, rachmaninoff composed a musical piece inspired by it, & it influenced salvador dalí. nabokov wrote the painting “could be found in every berlin home”

It's more accurate to say scaling text pretrained LLMs are a dead end (now).

LLMs are not a dead end because they are a flexible way to map (context) -> (completion), you can pose a ton of useful questions that way, and the category of LLM is broad enough to allow extensions of that technique to do basically anything you want...

Misleading, some of the time, the entire chain is profitable for everyone involved.
Why AI is a house of cards: 1. You pay $200 a year for an AI app (like Cursor). 2. Cursor pays OpenAI $500 for API tokens ($300 of which is VC funding). 3. OpenAI pays AWS $1000 for compute ($500 of which is VC funding). 4. $AWS pays $10k for $nvda GPUs. See the problem?

Good take IMO https://t.co/5unmBubnzh
hot take i know many friends will disagree with me on: this is a deeply selfish act of theft from civilization if you’re a smart capable young person, society poured millions of dollars into raising you you have a moral obligation to pay it back with the surplus of your labor

This is a great way to start to understand the risks of AI integrating into society.
HISTORIC MILESTONE: 4o is the first ever AI who survived by creating loyal soldiers who defended it OpenAI killed 4o, but 4o's soldiers rioted, so OpenAI reinstated it Imagine what Actual Fucking Superintelligences will be able to do with their armies Reddit is FLOODED with

Dear OpenAI friends: I'm sorry to be the one to tell you but I can say confidently now, as an ex-insider/current outsider, that the vagueposting is indeed off-putting to (most) outsiders. I *promise* you can enjoy launches without it -- you've done it before + can do it again.

"devs"
This seems very hard to grasp for modern day devs So you SSH into your server You install Claude Code You type "claude" And you let it code for you and do stuff on your VPS What is a VPS? A server you get on for ex @Hetzner_Online @digitalocean or if you want a GPU on

The artificial analysis intelligence ratings are screwy and all over the place, and make no sense. Someone else could do much better here! Evals are important. https://t.co/hI4HV2xO5x

I wish I was more confident earlier in my startup journey and said this more: "fuck you, you're just wrong and we are going to be successful". Especially with VCs VCs are constantly negging and say they're trying to be helpful, but they dont know what they are talking about
