Today I wrote to our #ExtraordinaryQNs to ask them to read the report by @nazirafzal and Rise Associates on the culture of @nmcnews and to read the @TheQNI letter to @wesstreeting calling for an independent review of the NMC and its regulatory functions. @johnunsworth10

While organisations and Unions formally supported Harper’s Law & Assaults the RCN refused to support this campaign. Legislative change is coming. Very proud to effect positive change to protect ESP & NHS personnel. For the RCN - there’s still time yet to back your members!

“I have the best job in the world”; “my job is so enjoyable and has been so much fun”; “children’s nursing can be most challenging, but it’s also the most rewarding” all quotes from today’s @ABPN_ChildNurse #OralHistoryProject recordings. Want to share your story?

I find it of great interest that our #politicians will give time for #PhysicianAssistedSuicide but won't fix this issue. For years they have left it to the voluntary sector to fix it. The way we care for our dying says what kind of #society we really are...
Thank you @tobyhporter and @hospiceuk for representing Hospices @CommonsHealth These are the conversations we are having daily with our ICBs and partner organisations. The financial situation is not the same as in previous years. Please take a moment to listen

This would support the evidence from all other jurisdictions that have allowed #PhysicianAssistedSuicide or even #Euthanasia I do hope @ScotParl take note
During a debate on Isle of Man 'assisted dying' plans this week, MHKs heard that it's "almost inevitable" that legislation will "extend and expand" in future.

The lack of consensus about definition of breakthrough pain (BTP) & lack of a paediatric BTP assessment tool underpins all our programmatic work. This paper provides insights into HPs perceptions & offers direction forward. @WeCYPnurses @jennie_craske @BPSPainEthics @EHU_FHSCM
HCP insights emphasize the need for a standardised tool to assess breakthrough pain in paediatric palliative care, to enhance patients’ pain related diagnosis, management, and quality of life https://t.co/BoDEFPgJNT
