They’re not afraid of you because you’re small. They’re afraid of what happens when you unite. 500 practices under one tax ID = negotiating power. 25,000 physicians with shared benefits = contract leverage. Dutch Rojas founded ReKlaim Health to aggregate independent doctors

This is from 2018 and should be recompiled. Only 25% of the healthcare dollar flows to people who lay a hand on patients to heal them, 75% flowing to those who don’t. Here is the accompanying article I wrote at the time. https://t.co/StsBuwIFte

Hospitals, pharma, doctors, medical devices, health insurers, PBMs — the entire health care industry has crushed working households through higher prices and out-of-pocket spending, to the point that health care is a bigger expense than a mortgage. https://t.co/ZkeumZuffO

Add academic pedigree to this. I come from Ivory tower A and went to tower B and so on and so forth.
There is a toxic type of person to avoid— the kind obsessed with hierarchy, constantly ranking everyone: net worth, IQ, number of publications, academic titles & citations, cycling FTP, 5K running speed, education, etc. They are miserable & want you to be miserable too.

Here are words I never thought I would be typing: Every state in America should be following Arkansas and Louisiana’s lead. CVS needs to decide, do they want to be a pharmacy with a focus on patients or do they want to be a PBM and focus on profits.

Who Really Keeps the Value? A Physician’s Cut of the Dollar Let’s break down a hard truth: Physicians — despite their years of training, clinical risk, and massive workloads — retain one of the smallest shares of the economic value they generate. A typical physician in the

America spends $1.4 trillion on billing systems, paperwork, and non-clinical overhead which is more than it does on paying every doctor and nurse — combined. Physicians deliver care. Bureaucracy consumes the money. And every time we “cut costs” by trimming salaries, adding

Many of you have followed Chance and her recovery with us after getting stabbed. She is doing well. But today I had the pleasure of meeting her daughter who is called Hope. She had also been abused. What a story… (1/8) 🧵
