Lil Al Pacino has not reacted to his sedation well at all. His temperature was all over the place. It took him hours longer than expected to wake up. He was just coming around this evening but it was a close call. (6/7)

The vets cleared their schedule and got him straight in. The lumps came straight out. The biopsy will be sent to the lab. We are hopeful as always but let’s see (5/7)

Unfortunately at the weekend I discovered some issues on his skin. Blood vessels and lumps. They were around his neck in places I couldn’t see before as he was so snappy with us. He needed a biopsy today (4/7)

He has been sleeping non stop. His body was so sick. He loves running into his little suite. He runs back to it as his safe place. (3/7)

He’s been healing really well and enjoying touch. We’ve been fixing his skin and his eyes and ears. Huge progress (2/7)

10 weeks was all it took to change his life forever. I told him one day he’d have his full name… Maximus Decimus Meridius. That day is today ❤️ (8/8)

His paperwork was all done and he got all his medicines and checks done in Tina’s hospital. Maximus on the ferry heading off to his new life (7/8)

A lovely couple of no have experience with large breeds fell in love with him online. They drove 800 miles to come and meet him. It was love at first sight. After 2 days with him they took him home today (6/8)

We built him back up into a fabulous dog. He has put on 25lbs believe it or not . But his big break came today. A forever home… (5/8)

You can see the sheer rawness of his infections here. Luckily over about 6 weeks we cleared all that up for him. Maximus was always a gentle soul. He never complained once (4/8)

His skin was red raw, his ears had been cut off and his eyes hurt. But we knew he would make a great comeback (3/8)
