So when Trump fires all non-partisan career professionals in government, replaces them with radical loyalists within every nook and cranny of the US government, and adds radical judges everywhere. And every one of you that voted for him finally wake up from your fucked up

Look through these comments. Look at the number of people saying "YW we just wanted to be left *alone*" Have you heard this narrative *at all* before this moment? Do *any* of them explain? No. This is all fake. All of this discourse is manufactured.

Preliminary assessment is twofold: - Dem failure on Gaza kept Dems from the polls. They said they wouldn't vote if it didn't change. They were serious. - Leaning into the racism worked for the right. People want a scapegoat for economic woes. Racism always does that job well.

Last thought before attempting to go to bed: if Americans are willing to reelect Trump after everything he’s said in the past three months, there’s nothing Harris could’ve done.

Like I can't imagine which foreign nations would benefit from a "hands-off" US foreign policy, couldn't be ones actively conducting wars in Europe and the Middle East! Must be a coincidence.
Be aware that this astroturf narrative of "we just didn't want any more WARS" is sourced in foreign actors (Russia) who very intentionally want to create a US policy of not getting involved in world affairs.

I just had an old white lady ask if I'd voted and cheer for Kamala, so yes I am going to have hope now, thank you.

It's crazy that everyone who worked in the first Trump administration is like "he's basically the Mad King from Game of Thrones and he must be stopped at all costs" and every major newspaper is like "there's simply not enough information to decide either way"

Being scared of endorsing a candidate out of fear of retribution from one of the candidates makes it more important for you to be loud about your endorsement, actually

Hitler didn't start off by murdering 6 million Jews, he ended there. He started by suspending the constitution, made all the other parties illegal, made it illegal to "insult" the regime, and by rounding up all his political opponents. All things Donald Trump has said. 👆

When I use the word "healing" in the context of trauma I actually mean "recovery" which is a dynamic process of mindful self care and slow, incremental improvements over time. Many people think healing trauma means "return to factory settings" but trauma doesn't work that way.

@JonathanKadmon @kthalps @TonyGreenstein Can't stress how important a point this is. They should have been teaching antiracism and talking about how fascist systems target minorities. Instead, they were teaching Jewish exceptionalism. And it is deeply ingrained in even liberal jews.

The indifference towards, acceptance, and even celebration of what is currently being done to the people of Gaza is what Holocaust education was supposed to prevent.

Using the White House to kill an investigation into a Supreme Court justice that you appointed who goes on to bail you out of a criminal trial that could get you 20 years in prison seems like a scandal that should end your political career. We're in the dumbest possible timeline
