Between the main mirror and the #MicroMirror project, I figure I've spent about $16,000 on hardware, so if you ever wonder how free software is all available to download and is still fast, it's because of jokers like me and the rest of the MicroMirror team.

The RAID under is out of space, so I just dropped $1300 on another six 16TB disks to fill out the chassis. Same deal as on the first batch; the first 6 to send us $320 and their names get their name on one of the drives.

Of course, we're interested in #MicroMirror hosts anywhere else in the US or internationally as well. Things have been going well for MicroMirror, I'm just only posting about it over on Mastodon.

After Make Magazine announced their $MAKE token and doubled down on the idea in response to extremely community push-back, the turn-key crypto platform they were using has. gone back into stealth mode?. But where's my three $MAKE tokens I got? I thought those were forever?
Friendly reminder that it has been 3 weeks since @make launched their attempt at crypto coins, and the only change they've made to their FAQ since then is adding a link to a background blog post which is password protected.

The entire project is funded by donations. Individuals donate cash on my Libera page ( and hosting networks sign up to get on our waitlist for free hosting, so once I get enough cash to stamp out another MicroMirror server, I email the next network.
