WE SUPPORT THIS... ALTHOUGH ARE LOBBYING FOR SIX POINTS Last Tuesday, issuing 3 penalty points for littering from vehicles was debated in Parliament for the second time. ALL 11 of the Labour MPs on the Committee voted against it. SHAME ON THEM.

Scientists: global warming of 2.5/3°C is * hard/impossible to survive * hard/impossible to prevent * likely by 2045-70 * just one compounding factor in extinction catastrophe meaning a total rethink of economic growth is mandatory to protect species and everyone Journalists:

I met the still-got-it Pierce Brosnan - he didn’t want to talk about Bond (I don’t entirely blame him). Nonetheless, I asked. He’s keener on Harry Potter. https://t.co/AlnSKPYF6a

Loved meeting @torvillanddean for @thetimes - 50 years of professional brilliance, deep friendship and still masters of the ice
Just try reading this and not humming Ravel's Bolero. Lovely piece on Torvill and Dean's phenomenal 50-year partnership, "Quality Street-purple costumes" and all. The full 6.0 to @JuLlewellyn

Great to meet the smart and funny @Saschabailey talking about his near transitioning experience, while also providing humour and balance around this too-often crazily polarised issue
In the @Telegraph today. Great piece, finally a headline that doesn't say I would have been a women. Thank you for the coverage Link below

Petty, jobsworthy, stupid - because books are non/combustible. Idiotic, philistine decree by @londonfire to remove small element of joy from commuters’ lives. Please reconsider @TfL https://t.co/VCqzQXfmwE

Huge response 2 interviewing neurologist Suzanne O’Sullivan on her brilliant book on overdiagnosis - so many docs + teachers saying the situation is “farcical“ excusing dire behaviour + stealing resources from ones who really need it @DoctorChrisVT https://t.co/O3utfXOv9S

Ian Fleming's original James Bond novels haven't aged well. For example, Moonraker - published almost exactly 70 years ago in April 1955 - features a villain who's a super-rich industrialist and rocket-maker seeking to cause chaos because he's a secret Nazi. Such a silly idea!

yes - lest we imagined nothing more about Trump could shock and disgust us, today's attack on Zelensky was that of a deeply wicked individual whose presence in the White House is a deep stain on American history
Sen. Blumenthal: “What world is he living in? It is not only contrary to the facts and the truth but utterly despicable, a disgusting betrayal of a country that has bled and fought and died for freedom…The president's surrender is pathetic and weak.”

Broken Britain. Hammersmith Bridge. Laughable if it wasn't so awful, 30 mins to walk over a major G7 river crossing. @LBHF @MayorofLondon @Transportgovuk @FMConway Millions wasted to date. And you're talking about a 3rd runway @rachelreeves? @RossLydall
We’re reached the point where we now have pedestrian traffic jams to go with the car traffic jams in Putney. This is the scene at 8.30am on Hammersmith Bridge… #justnotgoodenough

Hammersmith Bridge closed for nearly 6 yrs to traffic, finally - after a 4 yr gap - there's been a task force meeting. Now we hear @transportgovuk insist its contents confidential. So much for openness Labour promised. Just be honest + say it will never reopen to motor vehicles.

Total joy as someone who came of age in the 90s to speak to the woman who was the first to fully reflect the joy and anxieties of my generation of women. The new Bridget Jones film Mad About the Boy is VV funny and also as she enters middle age vv moving. Strongly recommend it
