SCP-4666 is a monster who kidnaps children, tortures their families to death, & forces the kidnapped kids to work and make "toys." The twist? The toys were made out of children who couldn't work anymore. Now? We can wear children that never even took a breath.
Dystopian. Parents can now turn their "leftover" IVF embryos, living children, into jewelry. We are treating human life as decoration — a keepsake of convenience.

We need more cool media aesthetics but they often don’t get past an Aeshtetics Wiki page because such aesthetics are just a visual expression of a story's theme. Lots of people, artists and fans, don’t get this. Thus, we get something... odd, as Alexander Palacio describes here:
Peak sci-fi/fantasy aesthetics: • Ancient ruins with electronics. • Christian imagery but with robots. • Thing that looks like a robot but reveals fleshy bits when damaged. • Giant skeletons. • Giant robot skeletons. • Robot in a desert wearing a hooded robe.

The Fox is one of my favorite characters from Lord of the Rings. He flies in the face of modern storytelling. No explanation on how he can think. No pages of backstory involving trauma. No later re-incorperation in the plot. He's just the fox.

My dad once placed a black cup of beer on the rug and my kid-brain thought that it was a cup of Sprite. Since then, I almost never have alcohol outside of wine in Mass and special occasions. The last time I had alcohol was a mixed drink with @KeterKiven weeks ago.
I haven’t drunk liquor since the second time I tried it in high school. Gave me a hangover which I hated so much I saw no reason to ever endure it again. I’d like to be able to claim it was a noble or ethical or religious reason but nope - just hated the hangover.

As a Zoomer, it's borderline comical seeing how fast 2-D animation was killed off in favor of CG animation. One moment, you grow up seeing The Princess and the Frog advertised side by side with a Pixar film. Then, suddenly, traditional animation dissappears from theaters.

The story of Jane the dog is an odd one. She was originally a bald, unnamed dog made for a Storyboarding class assignment. Then the teacher referred to it as female and I didn't bother correcting him. Then I liked the idea and now she's this little cartoon pulp hero I have.
