This is the equivalent of establishing a Public Finance Committee and appointing three people who cannot answer the question: ‘What is 2+2?’.

The context for Sarah Pochin’s remark is a robust study, by Channel 4, which finds black people represent 4% of the UK but 51% of television adverts. From adverts to Netflix, from the BBC homepage to historical dramas, from university reading lists to what our children are being

@MrTCHarris @PaulEmbery To be fair to Pochin, she answered a question from a caller. She didn’t bring the subject up. And it is fairly maddening in the context of all the nonsense we are gaslit with when we can see social cohesion splitting at the seams.

Inevitably @PaulEmbery's take is rather more informed and sensible than Sarah Pochin's.

In a bid to flaunt their 'progressive' credentials, TV and advertising bosses are force-feeding us a distorted view of the world

@PaulEmbery You are a rarity amongst trade unionists Paul, as rather spout the normal left wing ideology, you apply balanced thought and common sense to much of your thinking. If only others, of all political persuasions, were to follow your example

@PaulEmbery Same. I held elected regional positions in a couple of unions. Unions were once about standing up for basic workplace rights. Their primary goal now, especially in the public services, is to collude with employers in enforcing rigid adherence to gender ideology & CRT.

@PaulEmbery Unions won't exist in 50 years. They will be seen as relics that turned into political machines rather than their actual purpose. I work in tech, we have not had a union since the 90's. Have employment laws, do not need unions. And if we do have issue with pay, we CHANGE JOB!

I joined my first union at 16, have been an activist ever since, served on the national executive of my union, and have represented countless fellow union members in the workplace. But, no, I’m definitely *not* a trade unionist.

@FUDdaily I cave in with regard to moral principles? Who are you to make such an accusation? You are a keyboard warrior. Have you ever built anything? Run anything? Transformed anything? Do you know anything real about me and all that I have had to endure to stand for what is morally

@Miss_Snuffy @FUDdaily 4/ He's smeared you? By making substantive criticisms of some of your ideas and policies whilst acknowledging you may be an excellent teacher? Whereas you've provided no reason to think anything he's said is wrong and just offered one insult after another. You've been smeared?

Trevor Phillips taking no prisoners on grooming gangs “The few victims who speak out are heroines. But the villains they can identify are only part of the awful story. The worst moral stench is attached to those who know the truth and turn a blind eye.”

These crimes are distinct from other kinds of sexual abuse, both in terms of scale and ethnicity: to say otherwise is a lie

The racially aggravated rape in Walsall is a horrific crime. My thoughts are with the victim and her family. I know the fear that will be felt by the local Sikh community. I’ve sought assurances from the police and local leaders that they are doing all they can to support

Tories were co ahead in the polls for first 49 days of the year Reforms been ahead in the polls ever since so if nothing changes in thd next 64 days Labour won’t have been ahead in the polls for a single poll this year that was like the Tories in 2022/2023
