Fantasy and Urban Fantasy author - check out Card Snake, the newest release!| sometimes posts weird toys | might actually be a sentient jar of peanut butter
What happens to the “monsters” after the war ends? And why are there so many card games?
Enjoy this story about a fast-talking card-dealing snake in a city of humans as she fights to change history, hide her secrets, and maybe find a little love as well!
@AGramuglia
Wasn’t there at least one situation where someone said “oops I didn’t mean to summon you,” and the cenobites understood and left them alone?

1. If he says it doesn’t fit, either he’s lying or he can go buy a bigger one and come back.
2. There’s a difference between fitting properly and stretching so much it’ll…, cause pain and probably compromise the latex. Condoms come in different sizes for a reason.
The Outhouse Mimic is available in the most recent minis set, Mordenkainen Presents Monsters of the Multiverse. It’s not particularly rare and shouldn’t be expensive unless you guys overbuy them all, haha.

Zeus as a serial rapist goes back before Roman propaganda, but it got seriously exacerbated by Roman propaganda. It has its biggest roots in rich people wanting to be descended from Zeus and making these stories to “prove” it.
@ZachWeiner
My favorite comic, because it’s genuinely humbling as well as hilarious. Legitimately makes a good point for anybody patting themselves too hard on the back about how Enlightened we are today.

All women constsntly travel to exotic places. Just constantly. Sailing, flying, driving, running with their feet turned into those cartoon blurry wheels, everything. They do it because they have to - women can’t stop moving or their gills won’t filter oxygen and hey suffocate.
@imaginmatrix
The whole point of the series was to deconstruct everything from “kids tournament” to “Revolution” to “propaganda” to “badass female soldier” (and “badass male soldier”) and say “all of these things suck and are traumatic.”

Spoons is shorthand for hour much energy/ability you have, based on an illustration someone gave while at a table, and thus there were spoons available. It’s about how when you have chronic pain or a disability, there is a limited amount you can do in a day.

THE SAME THING WE HAVE BEEN DOING SINCE THE 1970S.

My left-wing professors were always the fairest and most willing to hear out and validate conservatives in the name of free speech and discussion. My right-wing professors were often the most dogmatic about there being no dissent.

The thing about this is, I don’t want to “hate” JKR. I loved the Potter books. Loved the movies. But watching her devolve by fighting and doubling down and digging in and doing stuff like this is sad and painful to watch, and a lesson not to do those things.

Dunno if you’ve heard the original that it’s a riff of - “Is the Pope Catholic? Does a bear shit in the woods?” And thus, “Are bears Catholic? Does the Pope shit in the woods?”
Today, my kitty wrote me a poem:

You’re really living out your motto of “Be good people,” and I appreciate this very much.
EVERYONE: Be good people, even though it hurts sometimes :-)

Paul described himself as not particularly attractive. Tradition states that he was short, swarthy, bald, fat, bow-legged, and had a big nose.
So therefore, we must assume:

There are many fantastic punches, but this one in particular struck me so hard that I had to homage it in my second book. I know it’s cheating to mention DC comics and the direct-to-dvd movies are barely “movies,” but this moment is amazing.

I remember hearing about that! And I’ll be honest. Ignoring the wrecking balls joke, it was a really impressive piece special effects. The cinematography also sold how huge and intimidating Devastator was, and I even liked how they took him down. Best part of the movie.

REMEMBER: the Japanese school system (until the mid-late 2000s, IIRC) kind of glossed over WWII a bit, so people knew that the Nazis were bad, but HOW bad didn’t exactly register in every case.
@DragonCobolt
I’ve actually used Brocken, Stroheim, that scene from FLCL, and one of the Godzilla movies as an example of why we need to TEACH OUR STUDENTS ABOUT THE BAD PARTS OF OUR HISTORY, otherwise it goes awry.

The biggest argument in favor of horseshoe theory is how the far right and far left both demand authoritarian government, silencing of dissent, and hatred of the Jews.

I got in an argument with someone once who said that her support of the Nazis was entirely justified because she was a good role model for independent women, and I tried to explain that this is not how feminism works.
Anyway, I’m guilty of mansplaining and I hate women.

There are people already frantically typing “and this is why they’re doing better than us!” Without looking to see, indeed, if South Korea is “doing better” by any metric.

Point is, they’re still different sizes. If it really is too small for him, then he can drive down to the 7-11 and buy properly-sized condoms. But they are not one-size-fits-all.

This is a cropped screenshot from larger excerpts. Basically, the main hero is being harassed by “evil internet trolls,” and is showing one of the worst of them to a friend of hers. The fibro girl is a bad guy.
