Instead of giving the rich $2,500 to buy electric cars, maybe @GovNL should have offered the same rebate on e-bikes so more of us could catch a break from paying for gas.

my father always told me: "if you want to go for a run, go for a run, don't look for company. sooner or later, on your fifth run or your twentieth, likeminded people will find you themselves." and only recently have I realized that this principle works everywhere.

Interesting difference in terminology - the Gov of NL is saying the old Upper Churchill Contract is being "ripped up", Quebec is calling it a "contract renewal to 2075".

The Churchill falls deal is non binding ageeement to replace thee existing Upper Churchill Contract with a new deal that would raise electricity prices to NL from .2 cents a kilowatt hour to 5.9 cents.

hating snow because you “have to drive in it” proves that the car owner mindset destroys your innate connection to nature and shatters any sense of wonder you may have at the phenomenon of existence. owning a car depletes your soul

BREAKING: scientists hold back tears and shake their heads sadly as they explain utterly compromised COP29 climate conference was meant to be the last chance to organise rapid and deep emissions cuts for any chance of staying well below essentially unsurvivable 2°C 🧵

. @JimDinn Speaker, $23 million is what this piece of land at Kenmount Road is costing the people of the province. No public tendering. And there were cheaper, equally suitable, and just as accessible, and, did I mention cheaper, parcels nearby. 1/2 #nlpoli

We. Need. Regionalization. We need regional collaboration. We can have regionalization of municipalities AND municipalities can maintain their cultural heritage and identity. We can have both. Try to change my mind - why can’t we have regionalization?

Iceland embraced a shorter work week with no cut in pay. Their economy is outperforming the rest of Europe. Lessons here for all, perhaps. https://t.co/PsOfsHrH1c

These young people are our future. If they're burdened with debt, they're not going to stick around in this province. If they're unable to pay that debt back, they'll go elsewhere. Premier, it's time to meet with @MUNSU35 to have meaningful discussions about this.

It’s been 500 days, @FureyAndrew. Students are struggling, Memorial University is crumbling, and young people are being shut out of post-secondary education. It’s time to follow through on your commitment to re-evaluate funding to MUNL and protect the future of the province.

If you live in the Waterford Valley district, I think you should vote for Nicole. We need more people in the house of assembly who have experience working directly with the most vulnerable people in our province, and are motivated into politics to solve systemic problems. #nlpoli
