Head and Neck cancer has ravaged my health and career. I have a third of my tongue left, half my vocal chords, a hole in my neck, a broken jaw and incurable cancer. But my legs still work and I just did a 10 mile walk. To the doctors who gave me 2 months - you were wrong!

How amazing, puts things in perspective
Underneath me is the Northern Cape glacial pavings. Formed 300 million years ago when an ice sheet moved south, smoothing the rock. Today this region is a semi-desert. Been coming here since I was a kid, a special place that shaped my love of nature and prehistoric life. 🌍🌋🦖🤓

Yes where I am near central Jozi, there are Hooters, sirens , Vuvuzelas, shouts, whistles- it just feels like something of great hope and joy has arrived and is here to stay! That s the passion of our people!

The home are given donations from Woolworths of expired flowers. Today we were treated to a bunch each, and I put them up next to my Mom's photo in memory of her.

Very lovely. I've just been sitting on a bench here at the old age home where we live, enjoying the early fresh evening air. Blessing like a an ear to listen, a hand to hold, I think we appreciate more as we grow older.🙆♀️

Elegant Christmas window shopping in days gone by- it used to be a huge thing in Johannesburg when I was a child. We would go as a family and view the beautifully decorated streets and store windows- anybody remember John Orrs, Ansteys, Belfast store?

Great post Ulrich. I have always associated dandelions with wishes and hopes- there is something very ethereal and dreamy about them. Just seeing them gives your heart a flutter of hope!
Out on a lazy sunset stroll. Dandelions are like little suns on the earth. They say if all the seeds fly away on the wind, your wish will come true. For some, they symbolise emotional healing and fulfilment. I believe they’re good luck. Appreciating this peaceful moment. 🌱☁️ ☀️

We need prayers in this nursing home this week without power please. Besides losing their food, they won't be able to do washing for hi care and frail care, there's only one fridge / plug working to keep the insulin in..day by day with prayer please. I have no access to power
