Four years ago today since my emergency #TAVI @RBandH. Led by the phenomenal @EeLingHeng1 @AICU_RBH and team. Another great year with family and friends and finally managed a family holiday to #Sicily after last year’s Rhodes trip missed! 😊
As #2021 draws to a close I have so many friends and family to thank. However, my greatest thanks must go to @EeLingHeng1 @AICU_RBH @RBandH The words are from @MichaelRosenYes however they are somewhat apt for me this year. Here’s to a fabulous #2022NewYear

Another myth about congenital heart disease is that once the patient has had surgery, their problems will be solved. However this is just the start of the journey. Regular check-ups, medications, and the worry of new complications are part of life for many living with CHD.

@PhilSmithIsBack let's face it, career NHS managers/execs are in a situation where they have to accept the diktats and constraints and operational/financial/regulatory realities and feel unable to push back or condemn decisions and have to toe the line/get on with it

@PhilSmithIsBack and so doctors get labelled as the awkward squad, unable and unwilling to buy into the "don't bring me problems, just bring me solutions" ethos by having sufficiently professional autonomy to obstruct/challenge/speak up Portrayed by readers' comments as entitled & not corporate

Palestrina! I’m today’s guest @BBCRadio3 Early Music Show, talking to excellent @hannahcfrench about my recent Palestrina projects, how his music sits alongside his English contemporaries, and my performances earlier this summer in Rome & Palestrina. Produced by @CollersB. 📻

An excellent review of The Women in Black at Alexandra Park Theatre. Watched this last night and it is superb. Even some in the audience screamed! @AllyPallyWatch

On World Mental Health Day, we like to take the time to remember that mental health is as important as physical health. If you need someone to talk to, don't forget that we offer free counselling sessions to people impacted by congenital heart disease. https://t.co/1KahhA0Mkg

250 people came to our parish history exhibition today - a great celebration of the parish church and its community past and present - thank you to all who came! Our parish magazine archive is such a treasure and it was a joy to be able to share it with so many.

Loved this series and the sad news about Dame Patricia Routledge has made it necessary to find Kitty on Catch up! 🤣🤣

I have not seen this before. Absolutely brilliant ❤️❤️❤️ #DamePatriciaRoutledge
A wonderful clip of the late, great Dame Patricia Routledge on Wogan, performing “I Want to Sing in Opera.” It captures her brilliance - classically trained voice, impeccable comic timing, & sheer joy in performance. A true treasure, fondly remembered.

I hear a lot of BS at the moment - BS that goes “What does an EM clinician actually do? What value are they?” This from @EMManchester pretty much sums it up and separates us from other doctors. It’s what makes us unique in terms of decision making in medicine. #eusem2025
