Older people don't like the cold. They like it even less when it's hot. Peak attendances in terms of absolute numbers in my ED have always been in June/July. Not news if you're paying attention. Don't talk to me about "Winter Pressures".#NHSCollapse #ResuscitateEmergencyCare.
NHS England stats show overall planned treatment waiting list has fallen again to 7.36 million - though number waiting more than a year in May increased to 196k. NHSE also says A&E attendances in June highest ever - partly down to heat.
