We have shown that combined glycerol and CO2 valorization works well even with commercial catalysts, if the electrode composition and the process conditions are right. We are now working on custom-designed catalysts and real industrial waste glycerol.
pubs.acs.org
Despite the considerable efforts made by the community, the high operation cell voltage of CO2 electrolyzers is still to be decreased to move toward commercialization. This is mostly due to the high...

Our paper on local hydrophobicity governing high-performance electrochemical carbon monoxide reduction to C2+ products - is now published in EES Catalysis. Thanks @AttilaKormanyos for doing the heavy lifting and @flowphotochem, @ERC_Research for funding.
pubs.rsc.org
While CO can already be produced at industrially relevant current densities via CO2 electrolysis, the selective formation of C2+ products seems challenging. CO electrolysis, in principle, can...

After a week of intense scientific discussions, and before more university and company visits tomorrow, I decided to take a long walk in Philadelphia. What happened? I ran into the annual Saint Patrick’s Day Parade. What a great experience: full of heritage, tradition, and pride.
