Hey @NHSEngland, @NHSScotland, and UK #Medtwitter Those UK doctors who moved to my Aussie ED realised we never had an Exit Interview. We never got to share some of the examples of NHS culture that drove us away. Perhaps we can inform you a little with some anecdotes? 🧵

#notmyMP this man needs to get out before he does some serious damage. How do we stop the seemingly unstoppable conservatives? Everyone down tools?
The Government cannot stand by and let unlawful strike action go ahead — nor ignore the request of NHS Employers. My statement on @theRCN's planned strike action 👇 (1/2)

“This is nakedly political. Nurses will not be gagged in this way by a bullying government." @patcullen9 responding to government ‘letter before action’ and threat of interim court order to stop entire 48-hour nurse strike. https://t.co/MMzPJ7vObf

Conservatives are suing the RCN, Labour is breaking down general practice as Sir Kier obviously has no idea how it truly works. Where should voters turn? Who will save the NHS?
You should be able to get a GP appointment when you need one. Labour will end the postcode lottery for GP appointments, training 7,500 more doctors a year and guaranteeing face-to-face appointments. Vote Labour on Thursday 4 May to cut waiting times. https://t.co/xcV8tMakve

I’ll sue you if you strike, all half a million of you… this man is a disgrace and I am ashamed that he has been elected by the community in which I live.
The NHS believes @theRCN’s upcoming strike action is illegal – so I am regretfully providing notice of my intent to pursue legal action. The details explained in my statement 👇(1/2)

Today a doctor on the picket line said to me: “MPs have had a 42.7% increase since 2008, Junior Doctors have had a 25% decrease since 2010. So let’s not have MPs saying that pay restoration for doctors is unaffordable. We have families to feed as well.” A fair point indeed.

It's the second day of the junior doctor strike in England. On #BBCBreakfast we've been asking for a live interview with a Health Minister but no one has been made available https://t.co/UKHkz1hfnN

Probably one of the most loathed men in politics right now. Out of touch, no real care for the NHS, and he needs to resign as he’s shown how callous and dreadful at his job he truly is.
I hoped to begin meaningful negotiations when I met the BMA last month. But its demand for a 35% pay rise is unreasonable – it would see some junior doctors receiving a pay rise of over £20,000. If the BMA move significantly on this and cancels strikes we can resume talks.

Dear @RishiSunak, UK docs start at £29,384. If you care about the health of this country and our patients, then you'll find the money to make our pay competitive and make it much easier to work here. It's that simple. #SOSNHS

5% won’t improve retention 5% won’t increase recruitment 5% leaves most nurses (and many other staff) around £4,400 worse off in real terms than in 2008 The Government need to do so much better for an NHS in crisis

Because they’ve had the greatest real terms pay cuts, @NickTriggle - yet you chose to omit this key context (illustrated here by the @FT). Impartiality much?🤷♀️

. @SteveBarclay as a constituent of yours I’ve written expressing my concerns over the state of the NHS and have yet to receive an honest or sincere reply. It does not, therefore, surprise me you fail to act honestly and sincerely with regards to the @BMA_JuniorDocs strikes.
We’ve written to @SteveBarclay to confirm next week’s strike is going ahead, after his last-minute letter. Read the full letter from @RobLaurensonD4P @_VivekTrivedi #JuniorDoctorsStrike

What’s that all about? Two things: bad ecg reading skills - probably should have gone to hospital and not discharged on scene, we (in primary care) should have access to ECGs - especially when you say the patient should come and be reviewed by us!!

Patient calls 999 with TLoC, crew discharge on scene but for “GP to review”. Tell patient, & I kid you not, to not bring the ecg to us because it’s normal and we’d only steal it. Patient brings it after consult. I tell you, it was not a normal ECG, especially in context of TLoC!
