Something I think a lot about is how friction to getting certain things — mainly entertainment, but also stuff like, idk, burritos — was overall a net positive for society.
friday night blockbuster shelf surfing — especially sections with scary videotape covers — was goated. now you get algorithmic slop front page for ai generated scripts that you watch and immediately forget in a week. AND you cant impulse buy twizzlers from your Article sofa.
