Tell me you have never been to a city on the prairies . . . Mr. Toronto man, recent immigrants flock to Edmonton as much as they do Vancouver and Toronto.
But Edmonton’s modest price growth before 2020 wasn’t because it had already solved zoning I suspect it was because Edmonton wasn’t a target for speculative capital, or a top destination for new immigrants, unlike Toronto or Vancouver It was stable because it was overlooked 3/

This is good news and good work on the part of @LisaDominato and @PeterMeiszner. It’s a universal value that kids should be able to walk and bike to school. Parents are more aware of the dangers, so we need leadership like this to make it safe.
Please take a moment to read about this great motion to expand Vancouver's School Travel Planning Program, then write in to council to tell them you support it! https://t.co/t1sm6shHH6

"Mayor Ken Sim’s ABC Vancouver party claims to prioritize public safety, yet they routinely ignore one of the city’s biggest public safety issues — road safety." This is a great op-ed: you can't be serious about public safety without road safety! https://t.co/crKyxZ8Mce

"Every preventable death on our streets is a direct result of leadership that prioritizes politics over public safety. ABC cannot claim surprise, nor can they evade responsibility. The blood on our roads is also on their hands." https://t.co/zyKitBxSHZ

What would be a satisfactory form of public engagement to you @GoldinYVR? People complaining about process who cannot explain what an appropriate process would be are complaining in bad faith.
The scale of these changes is significant, but where is the public engagement on this? #vanre

Every city councillor who voted against the Broadway Plan lost their seat. Every councillor who voted for it was reelected. Sim beat Stewart and Hardwick in the mayoral race. Sim’s party had all voted for it. Hardwick, who voted against it, was a distant third.
@JeanSwanson_ @Docbootsnbraces Broadway Plan vote: NO - Swanson, Weibe, DeGenova & Hardwick. YES - Stewart, Boyle, Fry, Carr, Bligh, Dominato & Kirby-Young.

Great progress on the new plaza at Bute and Robson in the West End. This council-supported project will create a permanent plaza for the community to enjoy, and include rain gardens and intersection improvements. Building a city we love. #vanpoli

Funny how there are no NIMBY activists who can rally supporters. Or rally people to vote for Colleen Hardwick.
Article describes how "a vociferous YIMBY activist...rallied followers across North America via social media to take just 60 seconds to flood @CityofVancouver with letters of support for the (multi-national) developer." Encouraged council to ignore Point Grey. #vanre #vanpoli

When @KenSimCity , @Trev_Ford_North and @Vote4ABC removed the bike lane in Stanley Park, a study showed that vehicle speeds increased dramatically. We were very outspoken about this. The decisions by our leaders to make our streets more dangerous have consequences.
An 18-year-old passenger died early this morning when a car they were in crashed into a tree in Stanley Park. https://t.co/yUdAlVb5fj

One City landed a strong candidate to replace Christine Boyle on Vancouver City Council. Lucy Maloney is smart, is a good listener, and has a track record of progressive community involvement. She will be an excellent City Councillor. #VanPoli
With leaders like Lucy at City Council, we can fight back - and we can win. Vote Lucy Maloney on April 5.

Active transportation champion Lucy Maloney is running for council. With a background in law & working background in transportation policy & active interest in children’s safety, she would be an excellent choice for one of vacant council seats in Vancouver. Election is in April.
If you want an affordable city, where everyone is safe and where everyone belongs, Ken Sim isn’t working for you. We need leaders who are ready to stand up and fight back. That’s why I’m running with @OneCityVan for City Council.
