The City of Vancouver is responsible for 74% of the total increase in homelessness in all of Metro Vancouver between 2023 and 2025.

The motion comes to Council on July 23.

The motion proposes a number of reforms - from simplifying the approval process to increasing design flexibility. It also proposes aligning our plex program with Burnaby's - removing a limit on the amount of floorspace there can be in a building. That means bigger apartments.

ABC's biggest housing move to date has been to implement Kennedy Stewart's multiplex plan - and they haven't even gotten that right. That's why @lucyincanada is bringing a motion to Council to punch up our multiplex program - so we can deliver the homes we need.
